FOUNDER

Elliott and his wife, LeArden, started ELM Construction LLC in 2008, Today Elliott oversees the day to day operations. Elliott graduated from Homewood High School and Troy University with a degree in journalism. Before working at ELM Construction, he worked for a company that specialized in remodeling apartment complexes. Prior to that, he worked for a national building materials distributor. Outside of work, Elliott enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working in his yard and traveling.

PRODUCTION MANAGER / LEAD ESTIMATOR

Adam started at ELM Construction LLC in 2011 as a Project Manager. Today Adam oversees estimating and production. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School, Bessemer State Technical College with a degree in Building Construction and UAB with a degree in Business Management! Adam grew up working with his family in residential new construction. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, running/weight training and woodworking.

LEAD DESIGNER

Liz joined ELM Construction LLC as a Designer in May of 2020. She went to Thompson High School and attended the University of North Alabama where she obtained her degree in Interior Design. In 2022 she also earned the certification of Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKBD) thru NKBA. Liz lives in Helena with her husband, Michael and three children. In her spare time Liz enjoys religious studies, spending time with her family and retail therapy.

ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

Suzanne joined the ELM team in the Fall of 2023 as our newest designer. She is an Auburn graduate with a background in Design & Apparel Merchandising and has always had a natural inclination towards Interior Design. She is passionate about re-creating spaces to reveal beauty while fulfilling functionality and purpose. Her vision is carefully crafted with the desired design aesthetic at the top of her mind. In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys spending quality time with her family, snow skiing, travelling and finding new DIY projects to complete at home.

ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

Erin joined the ELM team in the Spring of 2024 as our newest designer. Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, she has spent the past few years in Birmingham earning a degree in Interior Design from Samford University, where she is now a recent graduate. Erin grew up always having a passion for design and creative problem-solving spaces. On the weekends, Erin enjoys antique shopping and exploring new places in Birmingham.

PROJECT MANAGER

Carl joined the ELM team in 2024 as Project Manager. After attending The University of Montevallo, Carl went to work for a Birmingham-based company with various multi-family projects across the Southeast. In 2021, Carl began managing local custom home projects. There, he gained invaluable experience, working closely with homeowners, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the building process. In his free time, he enjoys songwriting , producing music, and traveling with his family.

ACCOUNTING

Heather has been the Bookkeeper with ELM Construction LLC since 2022. She graduated from University High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and received an International Business Degree from Auburn University. Prior to working at ELM Construction, she held different positions in the banking industry and was a Program Director at UAB for 13 years. Heather enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and going to Auburn sporting events.

LEAD CARPENTER

Matt has been with ELM Construction LLC since 2014. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School then attended Lawson State Community College where he earned an associates degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design. Matt has over 25 years of experience in residential construction and when away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Cary, two sons Alec and Landon, and dog Max.

PROJECT MANAGER

Zolen joined the ELM team in May of 2024, originally as a carpenter, then moving to Project Manager. He graduated from Vestavia Hills High School, then studied Biology and Spanish at the University of Alabama. While working for a local Birmingham outdoor company, Zolen managed their woodshop building custom store fixtures, cabinets, and also building out new stores. Zolen and his wife moved to Seattle in 2017, where he spent 7 years doing residential remodeling as a carpenter, project manager, and field trainer. After having two children, he and his wife decided to return home to Alabama in 2024, and joined the ELM team. Zolen loves the outdoors and enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, and mountaineering with his family.
