BUDGETING GUIDE

Remodeling Cost Budgeting Guide

How Much Will My Remodeling Project Cost?

Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as saying “X dollars per square foot.” Unlike new construction, a remodeling project often involves the demolition of existing features, moving walls, relocating electrical, air conditioning and plumbing and trying to match existing finishes.

Without tearing into walls, floors, and ceilings, we can’t be certain what is involved but we understand that is not an option before delivering an estimate. We can, however, rely on experience to help identify potential challenges ahead of time and help you plan for the unexpected.

Additionally, we consult with you on the specifics of your project including square feet, the age of your home, location, and a number of other factors to help determine if the budget you’ve set is realistic or if the project needs to be adjusted.

What Contributes to the Cost of a Remodel?

Remodeling projects come in all shapes and sizes and with all types of trim levels. For example, do you want to give your small galley style kitchen a “facelift” or do you want to “gut” and remodel your kitchen, tear down walls and open up the space completely? Do you want to use builder-grade cultured marble in your bathroom or something a little more exotic like White marble for your countertops? Following our tried-and-true process, we’ll help you navigate these questions so our cost estimator can give you an exact guaranteed cost you can expect to pay for your project!

Can You Give Me a Ballpark Price for My Remodel?

Sure! Below you will find a list of different types of projects with typical home renovation cost ranges. Please keep in mind that every project is unique and prices will vary (and may even end up costing more or less than the price ranges shown). Our goal by sharing this information is to help you make an informed and educated decision about your project.

The remodeling cost information we provide assumes we will provide you with a complete construction project from permitting and construction through final inspection and cleaning. It includes all labor, materials, dedicated project management, taxes, equipment and all other items necessary to complete your project!

It also includes access to your online job portal where you’ll have 24/7 access to your construction schedule, contracts, payment history with remaining balance, change orders, job progress pictures and more. It’s important, when comparing multiple sources, to make sure you are comparing apples to apples. We will be happy to discuss how we arrived at these figures, so you can make an informed decision.
